Reaction Tester
Modern games are designed around complex computing devices that can generate 3D landscapes, render incredible shadows, and produce immersive environments. However, the first electronic games were not based on graphics and story plots but instead on basic electronic principles. This kit allows you to build a simple reaction game whereby the user’s reaction time is measured using a series of logic chips and two switches. Press the start button to initiate the system and then as soon as you see the counters start to count, hit the stop button. The number of the screen indicates your reaction time and this makes for a competitive game!

Applications
The Reaction Tester is a kit ideal for those looking for more advanced kits as well as those looking to learn about complex glue logic circuitry. The documentation clearly blocktises the schematic into easily understood functional areas while also detailing what each chip is doing. The complexity of the kit makes this a challenging project for students and can take students up to two hours to complete and test. However, the result of this kit is a very interactive project that will help garner interest in electronics as well as present students with a strong reward for success.
Notes
